Paul's Gospel: Transforming Lives, Transforming Cultures
As part of the "St. Paul and Evangelization" Pauline Year Lecture Series, Dr. David B. Capes explores Paul's understanding of the gospel - in other words, "what on earth is God up to!" The gospel involves ultimately the repair of the world and the redemption of the entire cosmos. Dr. Capes looks at the Christology of the gospel (the place of Jesus) and the Soteriology of the gospel (the metaphors for salvation), while reflecting on Paul's understanding of Ecclesiology (the role of the Church). Dr. Capes is a Professor in Christianity in the College of Arts and Sciences at Houston Baptist University. He is currently serving as the interim dean of the Honors College at HBU. Speaker(s): Dr. David B. Capes Date: March 25, 2009 Location: Nold Auditorium, St. Mary's Seminary Length: 91 mins
