Cameron School of Business
Business school deans from 23 Catholic universities gathered in Houston on March 31 for a groundbreaking business ethics conference hosted by the University of St. Thomas-Houston’s Center for Faith and Culture in collaboration with the Cameron School of Business. Spurred by the sobering implications of the 2008 financial meltdown, and guided by Pope Benedict’s call in the encyclical Caritas in Veritate for financiers to “rediscover the genuine ethical foundation” of their work, the three-day conference was convened by the Center for Faith and Culture to explore ways to better prepare graduates from Catholic business schools for the ethical challenges they will encounter in the workplace, organizers said. The Spiritual Discipline of Dialogue
6th Annual Seminar on Spirituality - "The Spiritual Discipline of Dialogue" Everywhere we turn we hear about stimulus packages with our focus on financial redevelopment...what about our Christian calling to stimulate our culture through renewed relationships of love, respect, compassion, and justice? This seminar will look at the Biblical foundation that calls for participation in society through dialogue, the examples of Jesus in dialogue, and some of the necessary skills to be true to this aspect of our vocation.
